Van Gogh's Room
Vincent Van Gogh moved to Arles in 1888 with the hopes of starting L’Atelier du Sud (the studio in the south) with his buddy Paul Gauguin. Instead he cut off his ear and sent it to a working girl named Rachel, after he went into an asylum. The picture is of a recreation of his room. The original he painted three times, it is said to be his favorite study.
