Eat Well Guided Tour and Hudson Valley Table

The tomatoes are turning red and best eaten when still warm from the sun's heat. Even better is eating them with the new issue of Hudson Valley Table magazine. The new issue gives tips on how to save some summer taste for the months ahead, too many veggies growing in the garden this year. I came across a piece about the first Eat Well Guided Tour going on right now. It begins in Hollywood and will end here in the Hudson Valley. The six week trip will be cross country and 25 host communities will hold events highlighting the best local foods, such as Red Wattle pig in Berkeley and Shoofly Pie in Muncie. You can follow along on their blogs daily at www.sustainabletable.org/blog. In the meanwhile I’ll be picking my Tiny Tims, Candy Dots and Early Girl tomatoes. Check this site for Totally Tomatoes.
