You Say Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe was once Rhodesia and while most of the world was paying attention to South Africa and its problems, Rhodesia was going through huge changes. I just finished two books about life there during those times. Both are written by women and well done. The first was called Don’t Lets Go To the Dogs Tonight by Alexandra Fuller and the second was Rainbow’s End by Lauren St. John. The stories are very similar and both about overcoming amazing hardships. Both authors are also obviously deeply in love with Africa, and filled with bitter sweet memories.
