Carcasonne Bound

 I woke up early to validate my Rail Europe pass and get my ticket for Carcassone and found everything very easy. I was told that Montpellier is becoming a very popular place here in the EU. It’s easy to see why, very pretty and user friendly. It has been a university city for centuries and Nostradomus was a medical student here. The people have been warm and I even sat with a couple last night after dinner for coffee. I am glad I return for my last night.

Carcasonne is a place I have wanted to go since seeing a picture of it as a child. We did go on the press trip but I am looking forward to spending some time in this castle city. To top it off I will be spending two nights at the Hotel de Cite, once the Bishop’s Palace. Should be very special!
