Border Blues

While Lil was doing her online class today I watched a movie called 3 Burials of Melquiades Estrada, starring Tommy Lee Jones. It was far too hot here to do much else! The movie was great and brought back memories of when I used to pack tee shirts and jeans, pull on boots and hop in the Jeep Wrangler. Lil would be teaching so I would just go border. Towns like Bisbee would only be the beginning of my back road rambles, dirt roads and jeeps blend like rum and lime juice. I met strange types but then again I was younger and exploring a strange part of the world. My Spanish came easier then as did my ability to handle heat. I wish I was as camera happy then but I’ll always have the memories.
